Before you swap it
- A CR1632 is 3.2 mm thick. CR1620 looks the same from the front, but it isn't the same cell, and a thinner one can rattle or lose contact.
- Keep the old cell until the new one works. If the car still won't respond, the new cell is usually in the wrong way up.
Quick answers
Which battery goes in the Kia Rio key (2011–2017)?
Transmitter Type C: one CR1632 3V lithium coin cell. Transmitter Type A or B: one CR2032 3V lithium coin cell.
Is DL1632 the same as CR1632?
Yes. DL1632 is CR1632, and DL2032 is CR2032: same cells, other names.
Will a CR1620 fit instead of a CR1632?
No. It's the same 16 mm width but 2 mm thick, against 3.2 mm for a CR1632. Use a CR1632.
